Triforce Crossstitch WIP? by jely-claris-anne Triforce Crossstitch WIP? by jely-claris-anne
This is seriously my first ever real attempt at crossstitch. :o I hear that crossstitch apparently take a long while, but I thought it went by pretty quick! xD;; I kinda feel like it's unfinished, though. Any suggestions?

Now, I must admit I have never actually finished a Zelda game (yet, anyway. Still working on it), but I love this symbol. *_* The whole power, wisdom and courage idea intrigues me. I probably sound so stupid right now. *lol*

Yeah, the only thing I would sugest is to outline the triforce symbol. But it looks great. I do a lot of cross stiches, typically I have like 2 or 3 projects going at one time cause I get frustrated with one and start another one till I get frustrated with that one and either start another or go back to the previous one. :) The time it takes to do one depends on the amount of details/colors and how dedicated you are to it. Mine typically take a long time cause I'm so ADD, but then again I also typically pick out the more detailed ones.

My lil bro LOVES Zelda games so I might steal your idea and do a cross stich like that for him for next years b-day or christmas gift.

Thanks. :3
I've acquired a good number of Zelda games under my belt since making this piece actually and I have plenty of LoZ related crafts in the works at the moment. :D I just always feel kinda weird with gaming stuff even though I've known it all my life. I have so many gaming friends that put me to shame and I don't want to come off as a poser. ^^;

woah, this is really good for a first attempt! :D i, for one, wouldn't have been able to do it :XD:

i suppose it feels unfinished because it was so quick?

if you continue this in the future, may i suggest doing other zelda symbols, like the zelda race symbols? (i.e.: sheikah eye, gerudo symbol, etc).

good luck! :la:

Looks finished and looks good to me! I've done a ton of cross-stitch in my time. You could enhance it by outlining the tri-force symbol in an accent color, like a darker golden-yellow. Other than that, you did a great job.

Ae you sure it's unfinished? I personally think it looks great as it is :) Either way, you did a really awesome job!! I think it takes skill and a lot of patience to pull off a great crosstitch such as this. The only suggestion I have for you is to keep doing what youre doing. For your first time, it looks like you did it like a pro.

I'm not exactly an expert at Zelda games, but I've beaten a number of them, though I STILL get stuck at the end of "Ocarina of Time" and "Link's Awakening" lol

Thanks for the comment and especially the fave!! :3

Maybe if I frame it up it'll look finished. xD But thank you so much for the compliments, I do plan on keeping it up. I really do enjoy the types of embroidery I've tried so far so it just seems natural.

The master sword is missing. It looks awesome as is though. I have finished all Zelda games to date. Except Majora's Mask, it just didn't keep my interest.

That's actually a good idea! I could add it behind it or something.

I'm still working on Windwaker and I played Oracle of Ages but missplaced the game in the middle of playing it. ^^;;

I was thinking again, that symbol is usually on the shield too. I had to swipe the Seasons and Ages games from my friend for awhile to beat them. ^^;

I might have to do the same, actually.. and completely start over because I forgot what I was even doing. xD;

I'm actually planning on embroidering or cross stitching the shield soon after I finish all the Christmas gifts I have planned for friends. I've been doing a lot of Zelda related crafts lately - I'm surprised I'm not burnt out yet!

Thank you so much! :3

I was thinking about adding a black or blue background but I'm not sure. I think I might just make another one and add a background to that one just in case it looks off or something. I don't want to mess it up. xD

Do you have any blue or black cloth? That could save you a lot of time doing full stitch background work.

And you're welcome. :heart:

Actually, I don't, but I think I've seen some colored crossstitching cloth so next time I will totally take that into consideration!
